Sensei Kumar promoted by the WUKF

Happy New Year! We hope that everyone had a nice break over the holidays but is looking forward to returning to training from next week! It’s been great to see that some of you have found our Facebook page already and have added some photos. We look forward to seeing the number of ‘likes’ grow over time, so please do share and contribute to the page if you can.

Our first news for 2013 is actually from the end of last year, but we thought it was important enough to share.

Huge congratulations to our chief instructor Sensei Azad Kumar who was promoted to WUKF Continental Chief Referee at the recent 4th Asia Intercontinental WUKF Karate Championships held in New Delhi at the end of November 2012. This is a fantastic achievement, acknowledging Sensei’s contribution to competitive Karate over several years. Azad first qualified as a FEKO referee in 2000 and became an ‘A class’ EKGB referee for kata and kumite in 2005, before receiving this latest promotion.
